I graduated from UW-Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Cardinal Stritch with a master’s degree in Professional Development.
I attend Friedens Church.
I was brought up in an ecumenical home rich with exposure to a variety of religions. My dad was a devout catholic who left his church later in life and joined a Baptist church with my mom. I attended Methodist, Presbyterian, Congregational, United Church of Christ and Baptist churches with my mom. My personal relationship with Jesus blossomed in my post-college days when entering the ‘real world’ and more fully understanding my need of a Savior. From then on, God has directed and redirected my paths in surprising ways while I aimed to trust and obey His plan for my life. My early plans were to live in Colorado where I would meet my husband and begin my teaching career. His plan was to keep me in the community of Grafton, where I grew up…to send me on a blind date with a wonderful man who would later become my husband…to live in the home my dad built…and to teach for most of my career in what was once my second grade classroom. This past August He rather abruptly brought me out of retirement to serve at Ozaukee Christian School as teacher in the upper grades. I rejoice in His perfect timing and perfect plans for my life and look forward to watching Him work in amazing ways during my time here at OCS. To God be the glory!
After 34 years of teaching in the public school system I am most looking forward to witnessing the difference than an education permeated with God’s Word and power makes in the lives of the students and staff at OCS.
I am a serious ‘rock hound’ with beautiful and rare specimens in every room of my home. Reading and candy making are other favorite hobbies.
