Mrs. Ott holds a B.S. in elementary education with an emphasis in science from Bethel University and has been teaching keyboarding and computer applications for 1 year. She attends Portview Church and in her free time loves to scrapbook all the memories that she makes with her family. She has also enjoyed playing hockey since she was seven years old.
Why do you teach at OCS? I teach at OCS because I really believe in providing students with a strong biblical foundation for their lives. Regardless of the subject matter we have the opportunity to instill biblical truths in our students. We can also show them that their Christian walk is multifaceted and not intended only for Sunday, but for every day of their lives. I also teach because I believe we can learn from one another and our students can teach us.
In technology, I’m looking forward to seeing the students grow in their keyboarding ability. I’m also excited to show students how to safely and effectively use the computer as a tool for life-long learning. In P.E., I’m looking forward to sharing my passion for hockey with the students, as well as seeing their skills improve in all physical activities. Perhaps they will even find a sport for which they have a passion themselves.
