I am just thrilled with how the Lord has given me this opportunity to work in the office at OCS. One reason I am excited is that I will be able to be in the school building, at least once a day, while my daughter is attending classes. Another reason I am excited is to see what the Lord is doing in the students’ lives, and to be able to be part of that is priceless! My husband and I have always believed in Christiane education for our six children. We had our oldest four in a Christian school for quite awhile, and then homeschooled them all with a Christian worldview curriculum.

I came to know the Lord personally at the age of 18. I was raised in a church-going home, however never heard the gospel clearly until I was 11 years old, it wasn’t until the age of 18 that I understood and then responded with my boyfriend to an altar call in a Baptist church and asked the Lord to come into my life and be my Savior. It wasn’t tool long after that, that boyfriend became my husband. Since then, it’s been a wonderful, blessed life of walking with Christ. I still haven’t gotten over that day that the Lord came in and changed my life and my husband’s completely! To God be the glory!

An interesting fact about myself is that this is my first job outside the home in 26 years. I was able to be a stay-at-home mom for all those years and counted that as a great privilege. A quirky hobby I have is, well, I was never really a hobby person, but I do have a small business that some would consider a hobby and that is selling $5 jewelry. Some ladies are quite excited to learn that about me.
